  • 2025 Active Attacker Exercises
    Text

The Bay Area UASI conducted eight days of Full-Scale Active Attacker Exercises to enhance regional preparedness. These drills brought together law enforcement, fire services, emergency medical services, and dispatch personnel to strengthen their coordinated response to high-impact incidents.

Held across five locations, the exercises engaged 664 first responders in practicing core capabilities, including Operational Coordination, Operational Communications, Situational Assessment, On-Scene Security, and Rescue Task Force deployment. Each scenario simulated an active threat, requiring law enforcement to secure the scene, mitigate further harm, and activate multi-disciplinary rescue operations. As a result, Bay Area UASI Region first responders are more prepared and ready to keep us safe.
